[04:43] Bryan had been talking about the human business movement for 10 or more years.

[04:39] He was presenting on stage and things went viral. There Is No B2B or B2C: It's Human to Human #h2h got over 80 million impressions.

[05:26] This topic was something that Bryan was passionate about and it kicked off the writing of his book.

[05:45] After his presentation he received incredible responses, and he answered those responses in the form of a book.

[06:01] Since this was a topic he had been writing about for 10 years, he was able to use a lot of the content from his previous blog posts.

[06:19] Ironically, he was in the middle of writing Shareology, when he decided to publish H2H.

[06:42] He published Shareology two years after H2H.

[07:05] Listening is critical and sharing is the front end of listening.

[08:37] In the past, brands were used to controlling the message and not responding to people.

[09:36] The voice of the consumer is much stronger than the brand itself which means that the brand has to live up to a much higher level of expectation for being responsive and being human.

[10:09] New technology like AI is automating responses and engagement.

[10:22] Humanizing your brand is even more relevant today.

[11:15] Be careful with Automation and make sure that you have human touch points in between at the right moments.

[13:38] Small and medium businesses can prepare for the future and still remain human by having time and autonomy on their side. They can move faster than a larger business.

[15:07] Reach out on video to a specific person. There are a lot of things that small companies can do that large businesses can't.

[17:48] Connecting, leadership, and relationships are ways to make people feel like they matter. Reach out without expectation.

[19:49] If everybody in your company was about connecting with other people, the results would be unlimited.

[20:27] When you do things for others it comes back in ways that you would never expect.

[21:46] We are put on this Earth to connect with other people, and to connect with people we need to be with them.

[25:46] Slow down in order to speed up.

[29:49] When people started cocooning is when things really changed for humans. When things started being delivered to us. On demand is what is changing things.

[30:29] Bryan did 250 interviews when creating his second book and the number one word that kept coming up was connection. We were born to connect. That is why we share on social media.

[31:28] Without connection everything falls flat.
