HubSpot Lead Sync

If you are interested in syncing your leads between HubSpot and LocaliQ, it will be helpful for you to know more about how leads are processed and assigned within HubSpot through the LocaliQ integration. Details are provided below regarding contact matching logic, record creation, and default handling for incomplete lead data.

This feature is configurable by lead type, call, form and/or chat. You can also choose to sync the organic leads recorded by LocaliQ. Your choices are collected and configured during onboarding.

Upon installation, a LocaliQ contact property group is created to store attribution details, including campaign ID and event ID on both the contact and the lead information.

HubSpot requires an email address for each contact. The email serves as the primary detail used to identify and match a contact in the system. The integration uses this email to link leads to the correct contact.  The lead is created as a call or note of the contact.

Objects & Properties: Default Contact properties synced include: firstname, lastname, email, phone, event_id, lifecyclestage, and createdate.

Lead Assignment Logic

Leads with an email address

If the lead does not include an email but has a phone number, the integration checks for an existing contact with that phone number.

  • If the lead includes an email address, the integration searches for an existing contact with that email.
  • If a match is found, the lead is assigned to that contact.
  • If no match is found, a new contact record is created using the email from the lead, and the lead is linked to that new contact.

Leads without email but with a phone number

If the lead does not include an email but has a phone number, the integration checks for an existing contact with that phone number.

  • If a match is found, the lead is assigned to that contact.
  • If no match is found, the integration creates a new contact record using:
    • Email: @localiq.com
    • Phone: Taken from the lead and formatted in E.164 standard.

Contact record defaults

When creating a new contact record, the integration uses all available information from the lead. If certain details are missing, the following defaults are applied:

  • First Name: NoName
  • Last Name: LocaliQ
  • Email: Based on logic above
  • Phone: Based on logic above

Customization: These default values can be tailored to better fit your business needs. Please share your preferred defaults with your LocaliQ Account Manager to have them updated in your integration setup.
